[Models] Team Fortress 2 Player Models

  • Updated engi attack and added more animations
  • Added more animations to heavy
  • Added more animations to medic

I'm in the process of importing TF2 Player models to source 2. I will be updating the models and this thread constantly, mostly because I have to make all the attack animations by hand.

The models and most animations were made by Valve and as such do not take credit. I would appreciate credit if used please

  • Most of the animations work except the attack animations. I'm trying to make the those by hand.
  • ACT_DOTA_IDLE, ACT_DOTA_RUN, ACT_DOTA_DIE, ACT_DOTA_FLAIL; all work for the classes (I have to add ACT_DOTA_FLAIL to a few of them)
  • I've imported all of the working animations
  • The weapons are part of the models for right now
  • Only blue team skins right now while I figure other stuff out
  • attach_attack and attach_hitloc should be on each class

  • Yay for portraits. I actually can't take credit for the attack animation as I managed to get the valve attack animation to work!!!

  • Hell yeah I finally figured out the portrait problem!!!!! Uploaded pyro. yes I know the flamethrower is from red team.

  • Updated the heavy with an updated attack animation and now he has a portrait.

  • good job on this can you possibly get a video up displaying the animations? and how it looks in game?

  • hrm maybe you know the answer to this...

    how easy is it to recycle textures (vmats) between source games? i want to make a custom tileset for my project and probably just share it as well, but i'm not a texture artist. Also, i think the material creation process for source is really crappy when compared to tools like Unreal, so i'm disinclined to learn it.
