How to use custom textures for your game mode

I've seen this tutorial: https://moddota.com/forums/discussion/1249/texture-editing-how-to-recolor-models

Which explains how to recolor models. This seems to only affect your local game, though. How do you override textures for your game mode so all players see the modification?

    You have to add the files in the mod folder with the path equal to the dota original file. Assuming that the path to this omni texture is pak_01.dir/materials/models/items/omniknight/winged_cape2/winged.... you have to create all the folders with the same name and the same name of the archive on your mod directory
