Creating neutral camps

edited March 2015 in Questions

(sorry so many stupid questions but im a scripter >.< need a map to script though)

I'm trying to follow this tutorial

https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Dota_2_Workshop_Tools/Level_Design/Creating_A_Dota-Style_Map

and i keep getting stuck on this section

Set both the Volume Name (in spawner) and the Volume Name (in trigger) variables to "neutral_camp_01"

maybe I'm dumb but I see no "Volume Name" variables whatsoever in object properties... help?

The prefabs suck, it's better and not really hard to script them from scratch and you'll probably have to end up doing it anyway because they are very restrictive.

I'll try to see if can find the Volume Name variable when I get home but I think making a quick scripting example with a timer and OnStartTouch/OnEndTouch triggers to keep track of who is inside the box will end up being way more useful.

Ok I managed to get acces to the "Volume Name" by doing this:

    1. Drop the neutral_camp prefab
    2. Collapse the prefab img
    3. Zoom in, there should be a squared box which reads npc_dota_neutral_spawner
    4. There it is: img

Let me know if it works, I haven't actually tried changing the value.
